How to apply

 


Applications are welcomed from disabled people, carers and parents and from statutory and voluntary organisations on behalf of their clients. Applications should be made in writing (there is no application form). Please make sure you include the following information:

  • Name, address, telephone number, age.

  • Background information about yourself.

  • Nature and extent of your disability, and how this affects your daily life.

  • The benefit you hope to derive from having a computer.

  • The equipment you need - we need full details of this, including information about any particular software that is required. Enclose a specification and/or quotation if you have one.

  • Information about your financial circumstances, including the extent to which you are able to contribute towards the cost of the equipment yourself.

  • If you are applying on your own behalf, please enclose a supporting letter from a social worker, doctor, teacher/tutor or other professional person who supports your request.
Applications are considered at the trustees' meetings which take place in April and October. The next trustees' meeting takes place on 17th April 2010. We need to receive your application at least ten days before the meeting takes place.
